Prosecco

Prosecco

Prosecco is Italy’s most famous sparkling wine, produced in the hills around the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Growing grapes here is often defined as “heroic viticulture”, because of the steep vineyard slopes that don’t allow any kind of mechanisation. This means that vines are cultivated by small family-run wineries, with the same passion and traditional methods that have been handed down from generation to generation.

Ruggeri Winery

Ruggeri Winery

The Ruggeri winegrowing estate was founded in 1950 and is deeply rooted in the centuries-old winemaking traditions of the Valdobbiadene area. In the early days, Ruggeri was one of only a handful of producers around Valdobbiadene focussed on sparkling wine. They produce their fine wines from grapes grown in the so-called Golden Triangle, a splendid hilly area characterized by a unique combination of climate, exposure and terroir, and renowned for producing the highest quality grapes in the entire Prosecco denomination.

Conegliano

Conegliano

Together with Valdobbiadene, Conegliano is the capital of the Prosecco Superiore District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. It's a splendid walled town renowned for being the birthplace of the great painter Giambattista Cima and home to Italy’s first oenological school back in 1876. Its historic center is dotted with beautiful Renaissance palaces while a series of quaint alleys lead to the castle on top of a hill, offering superb views of the wine hills all around.

Bassano del Grappa

Bassano del Grappa

Bassano Del Grappa is a delightful town on the banks of the river Brenta, at the foot of the Asiago Plateau. Its symbol is a centuries-old covered wooden bridge, whose construction also involved the famous architect Andrea Palladio. No visit to Bassano is complete without trying the local grappa, the town’s legendary liqueur.

Nardini

Nardini

The Nardini family is a historic producer of grappa. Their story started in 1779 when Bortolo Nardini founded Italy’s first distillery in Bassano del Grappa and introduced the practice of steam distillation. Today, the family’s 7th generation continues the tradition of producing high-quality grappa that has become a real Italian icon. The visit includes an introduction to the world of Nardini inside the Bolle, a splendid structure designed by Massimiliano Fuksas; a guided grappa masterclass; and a tour of the historic grapperia.

Ristorante Birraria Ottone

Marostica
